World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals
Between 7–16 October 2022, British Rowing is hosting the hugely exciting World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals 2022 (WRCCBSF) in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire.
Coastal rowing is ’the wild cousin of flat-water rowing’ and is a fast, exciting, high adrenaline sport that is growing quickly and is expected to be included in the Olympics in 2028.
The Championships will welcome elite male and female athletes from all over the world, including a high number of world-renowned superstars.
Whilst competition will be fierce, a major focus for the event organisers is to host the most sustainable and environmentally friendly Championship in its history – the aim is to be the first ever rowing event to attain the Sustainable Events ISO20121 certification.
Over 15,000 attendees will descend on Saundersfoot during the event and over 100,000 will tune into follow coverage on digital channels.
